standing still…
the seventh day of
fall looked like all the
rest. we didn’t have much
to go by, and the angling
of the wind and rain kept
throwing us off
our celestial
grid. you were
eyeing me
from across the
street, i’d be in
so much more
trouble if i ever learned
how to wink
