on day 105, we pulled out
the cliché of
faded photographs
and pretended
that the clear
sheath could protect
us from our most
recent shedding, that
it would be a strong
enough barrier to
grief. for an entire
morning, we could
not even finish
the first of
eight solid albums, our
pickup suddenly
so worn
.
