because we did not
see the broad-winged
hawk this morning
covering the
backyard, you pulled
out a favorite
from your magical
repertoire, waved
the eighth wand Dad
bought to replace the
others – you swear
it’s lighter on the
wrist – and for
the umpteenth
time, plated
a dish to right
all wrongs
.
