the things we inherit
from our mothers
sometimes arrive
dull, like a distant
reflection that require
polishing. the
very same moment
arrives for everyone –
in front of a hot stove,
looking down into
the swirling
contents – one pinch
or two? chopped
or diced? did she
or didn’t she?
.

Wonderful, Yi-Ching. I’m really hungry now! Thanks for joining in the photo challenge! xoxo
thank YOU for offering it! (smile)
you take really good food pictures, then I want to out and eat 🙂
ha! thank you so much! go out and eat!
Foodie Reflections… super thought… and a “makes me feel hungry pic”!! 🙂
thank you! and a reflection of what my mom cooked for us – on mother’s day! (smile)
I do love the image – but your reflections on yyour mother are wonderful
Jo, that’s so sweet. thank you. what recipes have you inherited from your mother? (smile)
I enjoyed the writing as much as the image. If you don’t earn money with your food photography, you should think about it 🙂 That image is as good as any food/product photo I’ve seen.
aww! and it’s real food! (smile) if i ever get more sun in my apartment, i might make a run for it (food photography)! (smile)
