no, they’re sugarcanes!
Y,
WOW so many likes and no comments… shame…
This is such a great photo with so many wonderful colors and textures. I think you’ve done a wonderful job with how you frame it just slightly. I love the lines, dots, patterns. There’s really so much “happening” in this photo.
Your poem is awesome and goes so well with the photo.. or the photo goes so well with the poem 🙂
I love the knot right there in the middle of the photo. Not obnoxiously shouting its presence, but definitely there.
I can see why there are so many likes, just wish people would tell WHY they like it 😀
Peace,
Stephen
Stephen, thank you so much for the lovely and thoughtful response. it’s funny about the knot – it definitely ties it together, but i now like the thought of a knot shouting its presence (smile). my mom took one look at this and said to dad, “these are the worst sugarcanes to eat ever!” because the sections are so short! thank you, again.

Reminds me of your other sugar cane photo from a few years ago. The canes looked liked soldiers at attention back then. In this photo, they look like watchful elders. Love!
ha! yes, they do look like elders. is that what happens when sugar cane gets old?
