even as children, it is fairly
clear – the distinction
between larks and
owls, between a sister
and her half-awake
brother, waiting for
the school bus and,
from his viewpoint,
the merciless
alertness of her
chatter.
we are so clearly
morning people
versus evening people,
it doesn’t take an MEQ
to ask you to meet
me somewhere between
INFJ and ENFJ, and
lord help us if we have
to take the ESFP path
so early in the morning
.

“the merciless / alertness of her / chatter” – perfect image for the poem’s contrast. A nicely observed photograph – glad it’s not that cold over here! The acronyms?
the MEQ is the morningness-eveningness questionnaire. the other acronyms are from the MBTi, the Myers-Briggs Type Indicator. there are 16 types. and here’s a silly interpretation.
I’ve missed this and what a week to sit back and click on the fruits of your peaceful challenge. Happy New Year, my dear.
Happy New Year, Katy!!
