we lean our ears
against the fences of
fear, as if we could
judge the depth
of our own
confidence by
what is built
underneath and
in between. the
harder we laugh,
the more certain
we are that
something
is changing
.

A new poem for me to copy down and hang on my refrigerator, once again. You are a source of inspiration for me in your writing and photography. How did you get this of the cat and the moon? Was it there for the taking? Absolutely wonderful!
I am facing change, right now, and you have captured the essence of it in this poem so VERY well!
aww, you are too sweet, Leslie! i put the camera close to the floor, where she was lying and snapped (smile). the light is actually from a stereo system, and not the moon! (smile) i hope you enjoy your new change(s)!
