  1. in the morning, i wake to
    find the window to my
    heart
    opened, crisp air
    dancing
    from atrium
    to ventricle
    like the very
    best
    mouthwash.

    in return,
    the current lifts
    and pulls
    out
    a canopied
    tongue, mourning
    curtains, still
    white
    with surrender
    .

  2. verbal beauty. stunning.

  3. y,
I like the expression of ride through the emotions here. There is the quick drop back to the reality of mourning that I’m sure hits with force in real life the same way it was written.
Beautiful photo! Very apropos with the heart shapes. To me the flowers look like they have icicles hanging off of them.

    Peace,

    Stephen
