   Y’s poem

   sometimes a mother’s
   love gently
   digs its thumbnails
   into you like three
   peeled
   tangerines
   lined up
   on the counter
   ready to tango
   when you return

   it’s red on my screen…not blue red, but red…i just haven’t had occasion to take the tangerines photo yet (smile). this is in reference to how my mom would peel tangerines for all of us first…
