there is really only
one choice, mama is dancing
in front of the television,
an hour ahead of the polls
opening in taiwan, invested
across twelve time
zones. democracy always
seems to hang in the
balance wherever and whenever
time travels and we
inevitably find our fates
in the hands of people who
do not know their history.
mama tempers expectations,
sighs, they deserve what they get
