the best conversations are
not tiptoed through,
but rather
petitions for noisy
steps, a solid rhythm
for a dance number –
tap, tango, foxtrot,
an easy
swing. so long as
when our hands
meet, there is still
enough room for
understanding, we
have not strayed
too far
.
