Recently had some hawks hunting my resident sparrows in the bushes right next to the house. Very bold of them to come within a few feet of the front door.

do you try to capture them with your camera? or just binoculars?
No binoculars needed. Just look out the door window. They don’t stick around for photo ops. Too much activity from the street keeps everyone in motion or on flight alert.

Speaking of hawks, I found a dead one in my backyard last week. That’s just bizarre. Maybe he (she) got zapped on the power transformer nearby. I wonder if that occurrence has any cosmic meaning…
