hope catches the
light off the high-grade
polish, streams out
of the rolled-down
windows and exhaust
pipe, purrs with
the engine on I-85
after escaping from
an evening at
the body shop.
you know
the feeling – both
your mind and
your wallet feel
a whole lot lighter
.

I love this photo! There’s something about it…the light, I don’t know. I just love it. Thank you for posting it!
thank you! i’m glad that you enjoy the play of light. thank you for dropping by – please feel free to subscribe to daily doses, if you haven’t already yet! thank you!!
Some of these little workshops are absolute gold mines for photographers, especially if they will let you inside….
oh, i am SO with you on that – just haven’t had the time/opportunity yet, but i’ve always loved this type of stuff! (smile)
Poem is superb! Wrote it down for refrig. I like the words and how it sounds, that trip home? I know the feeling. Photo is great, too. I really like the shadow play.
aww…thank you! i’m now imagining what your fridge looks like. lots of paintings? (smile)
I have to tell you my frig has a few of your poems which I re-read and a couple from another site. It has Granddaughter’s art and a few cartoons others have sent me. I’m waiting for this book you are putting together of poetry and photos, so contact me when that time comes.
hi, Leslie – i’m so honored. i’m sending it to you right now. please confirm receipt.
