before the arresting
winter, take the city
sharply between
your fingers, pull
and twist it, stretch
it into the light
until it takes on
the most
delicious
sheen, then
give it a hard
and chewy
bite
before folding
it into late
November
.

Fantastic!!!!! The idea of stretching this vast place out before you all fold indoors is phenomenal. One of the best city scapes I’ve seen, “Y”!
thank you so much – i was just thinking about pulling taffy! yum!
Oh yes! Hi Leslie. Long ago, Y posted another of these wide views and I think they’re just INCREDIBLE! Ha.
Hi Yi-Ching. Btw, if you’re interested in posting a link/video to music that expresses your connection to earth/nature, please do so on One Earth for All. Wondering if it’s possible to weave a web of musical links. Anyone else so inclined is also welcome!
probably the same exact location – it’s usually when i’m on a cab ride from the airport, crossing the bridge from Queens to Brooklyn.
Actually I think you did mention something about the airport then..ha–well you keep geting great captures from those airport ventures. Grins.
