  1. there is denial
    and then there is
    acceptance.
    from day fifty-
    four, acceptance
    looks
    a lot
    like denial,
    except with less
    waking moments
    to feed it
    .

  2. I can smell the after-rain air…Am I correct? 🙂

    • totally – and this is from one of your favorite places: Red Hook (smile). thank you!

      • Oh…I haven’t been there for a few month now. Must make a trip soon. Don’t you just love the remarkable contrasts in the urban landscape there?! 🙂

  3. it’s really beautiful, especially by the waters. there’s not much going on, though. lunch at hope & anchor was really divine!

This photograph and accompanying poem on Acceptance really speaks to me. Did you stage the photo or just capture the scene as it was there. A strong visual image and the words fit and speak so clearly. I enjoyed this.

    • thank you. i didn’t stage it. i passed by this residence during an on-and-off drizzle, and the “colors” and rust popped out at me (smile). thank you, again.
