someone is
blaming someone
else. someone is
holding her
tongue. someone
is retiring to
the back room.
someone’s eyes
are glazing
over. someone
is sitting in the
corner. someone
is forgetting
his manners.
someone is burying
it all. someone’s
hands are too cold.
when everyone
returns, someone
is definitely absent
.

Y,
this one still haunts me with the fact that there appear to be two bottles missing and in your poem, you write “someone is retiring to the back room” and in essence, the way this poem wraps up, there are two missing, the one that retired to the back room and the one intended with the line “someone is definitely absent.”
Maybe I’m seeing more that what is there but that’s how it struck me.
thank you – i noticed it when posting the photo, but like i’ve said before, i usually am not thinking of a photo when writing, so i would say this was a lovely accident! thank you for your wonderful perspectives!

I love this one! Very well done and the words are perfect for the photo – brilliant!
thank you, Brett! i’m glad you enjoyed both, which may mean that the “lengthy” writing worked (smile).
HI.
Enjoying your works as usual. grins
thank you, dear one! (smile)
