    i carry our memories
    into the woods and
    to the lake, let
    them soak in
    the darkening
    waters before
    folding
    them in
    half
    so
    that we
    can
    share
    everything
    this equally –
    anchor roots,
    annual scars, our
    most vulnerable
    therefore responsive
    layers, and each new
    branch, learning to tap
    our rhythm across the sky
