Interesting that you shot this when the blooms are fading.
actually, this was last week. all the dogwood trees look like this – very small flowers. i think they’re just as confused by the weather as we are.

i did my wild, barefoot, dogwood growing up in Virginia Beach. There was one dogwood in a yard of pine trees and I always waited in spring for the blossoms. Easy to see the bird’s nesting, too.
