this morning on a
whim, in her silver-
plated reflection,
the rain trapped
five flowering
branches of a
nearby tree,
something blue
from a parked
bicycle, a curious
face leaning
so close, and two,
almost three,
generous
pinches of sky
.

my mom missed the kitten, too. one of two wild kittens in the back of my building, he/she does not have a home and is always hanging about all day behind the building with the mom cat. this one is the braver of the two kittens, even though still hiding. at least he/she didn’t run like the other kitten. thank you!

I almost didn’tsee her/him. I hope she has a home. Your poem puts me there. I like both.
